NEW POSITION POSTING:

Store Cashier/Stock Person

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Cashier/Stock Persons.  if you enjoy a fast-paced environment and excel in customer service this position is perfect for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate cash registers and provide excellent customer service during transactions
  • Restock shelves, ensuring merchandise is neatly organized
  • lift and move merchandise, up to 50lbs, to maintain inventory levels
  • Assist with inventory management and periodic stock checks
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store

Qualifications:

  • Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift and carry of to 50lbs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

 

Nursery Worker

Are you passionate about plants and enjoy working in a green environment? Join our team as a Nursery Worker! we are looking for dedicated individuals who can contribute to the growth and care of our diverse plant inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the cultivation, maintenance, and care of plants
  • Ability to lift and move plant containers and fertilizer weighing up to 50lbs
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with plant selection
  • Watering, weeding and general maintenance of the nursery stock
  • Create attractive displays and organize plant inventory

Qualifications:

  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Knowledge of plants and gardening helpful, but not required
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Availability for both full-time and part-time hours

Transplanter

Join our dynamic team as a Transplanter and contribute to the growth and success of our greenhouse.  We're looking for individuals who are comfortable with repetitive tasks, have an eye for detail, and can stand for the duration of their shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform transplanting activities, moving plant from one container to another
  • Fill pots with soil and ensure proper planting procedures
  • Stand for the entire shift, engaging in repetitive but crucial tasks
  • Maintain a consistent pace to meet production goals
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Attention to detail in repetitive tasks
  • Physical ability to lift, move pots, and roll carts as needed
  • Previous experience in plant nursery work is a plus but not required
  • Availability for both part-time and full-time hours

 

Nursery Plant Sales Specialist

We are a production facility that prides ourselves in high quality, homegrown plant material. This is no exception in our Herbaceous Perennial plant program. We have a very capable growing staff to produce the largest selection of hardy perennials in the tri-state area. Let us do the growing. We need you to educate and provide superior customer service to our customers shopping in the nursery department !!

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of either woody trees & shrubs or Herbaceous perennial plant material a must. Some knowledge of both or vastly specializing in one or the other is acceptable
  • Outgoing fast-paced sales and customer support oriented
  • Able to work on feet during long Spring/Summer hours
  • Previous experience/knowledge in display and signage for aggressive retail Spring sales season

        

    Greenhouse Production Assistant

    Are you an active self-motivated individual that likes working outdoors? Think it would be an interesting learning experience to see all facets of growing. Our commercial growing facility has a long list of daily tasks to give any high energy person a run for their money. Primary responsibilities on any given day may encompass jobs such as filling and moving growing containers, spacing and organizing crops, pulling orders, shipping and receiving.

    Requirements:

    • Able to operate small motorized equipment (electric forklift, side-by-side rtv, etc.)
    • Able to lift 50lbs and push 75lbs carts.
    • Some plant knowledge is helpful but not necessary

     

          

    Maintenance / Delivery Driver

    We are looking for a Maintenance person to perform minor maintenance of building and equipment.  Plumbing and electrical experience helpful.  Driving dump truck (C.D.L. not required) of aggregate materials to customers in season and the operation of front end loaders/fork lifts.  Able to work flexible hours/ lifting required.

    Requirements:

    • Minor building troubleshooting ability: ie: plumbing/electrical/structural. If you have seldom picked up a hammer or don’t know how to adjust a crescent wrench this position might not be for you.
    • Ability to drive small (local) delivery dump truck or box vans. Valid drivers license
